What Makes Sparkling Wine Special

Taste ROCO’s newly released 2013 RMS Sparkling Wine. In this class we discuss why the traditional method of producing sparkling wine is truly a labor of love. Learn what it means to Tirage or disgorge a wine and to distinguish between Methode Champenoise and other sparkling wine production methods.

Kim Oshiro is a Certified Sommelier with The Court of Master Sommeliers and is the Direct Sales Manager at ROCO. She leads a tasting group for professional sommeliers in Portland and loves to share her knowledge and passion for wine.

Class Fee: $30 per person - $20 for wine club members

ROCO Winery continues its Summer Sommelier Series this season with ne topics and ROCO’s new wine educator, Kim Oshiro. Save the last Thursdays of June, July and August to learn about wine production, evaluation, and vintage differences in a fun and relaxed setting.
