Lavender Extravaganza: Lavender 101 & Wreath Making Class

The lavender fields at Red Ridge Farms will be prime on Saturday, July 13 for their annual Lavender Extravaganza, when the public is welcome to visit the property, stroll through the lush lavender fields, comprised of numerous different varieties and enjoy lavender-themed activities and treats. Guests can harvest their own lavender, create lavendar wreaths and enjoy lavender inspired treats.The event coincides with the Oregon Lavender Festival and celebrates all things lavender.

Featured Class - $45 per person, reservations required
The event also includes a special Lavender 101 & Wreath Making class. Start the day by learning the basics of how to grow lavender, what varieties to choose, how to prune, & harvest your lavender plants for both culinary and crafting purposes. Next, stroll through numerous varieties of lavender and harvest enough (gloves and clippers provided) for making a wreath and extra to take home, Finally, create a beautiful, fragrant wreath with your freshly-cut lavender and additional fresh herbs (all materials provided). Guests will also enjoy sampling lavender lemonade and other lavender-inspired goodies during the class. Attendees will also receive a 10% discount on all lavender and outdoor nursery plants on the day of the class.The class is from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and costs $45 per person.

Oregon Lavender Festival
For lavender enthusiasts, the Oregon Lavender Festival takes place throughout the state on July 13 and 14 and is a great way to tour dozens of different lavender destinations. Red Ridge Farms is part of the festival and will be open for tours and u-pick lavender from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
