Friends of Family Farmers Fundraiser

Friends-of-Family-Farmers-Aid Fundraising Concert Event: Thursday, October 11, 8-11PM at the Someday Lounge in Portland's Chinatown neighborhood: Someday Lounge, 125 NW 5th Avenue, Portland, OR 97209. Farmer Chrissie from Kookoolan Farms will speak for a few minutes betwween bands Max's Midnight Kitchen and Northeast Northwest, approximately 8:45-9:00pm. Farmers Mike Payne of Gaining Ground Farm, and Caitlin Blood will also speak.  Funds are being raised for the purpose of paying for a legal battle against canola seed in the Willamette Valley. If you want access to local vegetables from the brassica family -- and this includes a stunning range of vegetables, from cabbage and kohlrabi to broccoli, chard and beets -- this is an important war to fight. Oregon's small farmers are fighting TOGETHER with Friends of Family Farmers. The concert is only $10 to get in, but of course generous donations are welcome! Please come! See you there!
