Located in the heart of the Eola-Amity Hills AVA in West Salem, the Northwest Wine Studies Center is home to Chemeketa Community College’s Wine Studies program, the Chemeketa Cellars tasting room and the Chemeketa Eola event venue. The Northwest Wine Studies Center features an 8-acre teaching vineyard and winery, where past, present, and future winemakers come together to learn and create. Our students and faculty craft award-winning wines that express the unique terroir of the region. Each vintage reflects hands-on student learning from grapes to glass. The Chemeketa Cellars tasting room welcomes the public to enjoy student-grown, student-made wines along with beer, cider, non-alcoholic selections, and a menu of light bites. Relax on the patio overlooking the vineyard and valley, enjoy live music, or join us for one of our popular community education classes, including paint & sip, yoga & wine, floral design, and more. Current tasting room hours, a calendar of classes and events, and venue rental information can be found on our website. Plan your visit and discover why Chemeketa Cellars is one of the most unique wine destinations in the Willamette Valley.
