Doug Pike, a longtime award-winning cartoonist and OWP contributor, has a passion for wine. Out of his home in Scottsdale, Ariz., Pike creates his playful illustrations.

With e-book readers gaining popularity and acceptance, Pike saw the opportunity to publish sans paper as an exciting one.

“[Publishing the book as] an e-book is advantageous because it becomes available much quicker than a traditional book, it costs the consumer less, and I earn a better royalty,” Pike said. 

“The Grapes of Laugh” contains 100 cartoons, which took about a year to accomplish.
