Rogue Chefs Up North

Already the successful owners of Underground Café & Coffeehouse and Subterra – A Wine Cellar Restaurant, both located in Newberg, Janet and Martin Bleck have formed yet another culinary project: the Rogue Gourmet Catering Company.

After years of catering in Florida, the Blecks have decided to get back to their roots and offer Yamhill County and the North Willamette Valley a taste of their professional services.

“We are once again succumbing to the call of the catering siren,” Janet said, “yearning for the excitement, variety and challenges of high-end, full-service, off-premise event planning and execution.”

The Blecks say their Newberg commissary gives them easy access to the local area, saving both financial and environmental transportation costs. Many of the products they use are purchased from local farms and artisan food producers, and all of their service staff is from the immediate area.

“Money spent with us stays local and helps this community and valley grow,” Janet noted.
