Pairings!

The Oregon State Fair has rebranded its signature wine event for 2011. After reviewing much feedback, the State Fair determined that the professional wine competition was not highly received and participation was minimal. Although the amateur version will still take place, the professional contest has been canceled.

In its place will be Pairings!, formerly called Celebration Oregon! The event will bring together Oregon wineries and chefs for an evening of fine fare and live music by artist Patrick Lamb.

Pairings! will take place in the Hart of the Garden building on Aug. 26, 5 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $50 (which includes fair admission) and can be purchased online at http://oregonstatefair.ticketforce.com.
