100K to UCC

The Foundation of Umpqua Community College recently received a $100,000 gift from the Crane Creek Family Fund of the Oregon Community Foundation toward the construction of the Lang Teaching, Learning and Event Center (winery) that will house the College’s Southern Oregon Wine Institute.

The Crane Creek Family Fund’s interest in SOWI is rooted in its economic development promise for the area and region.

The Lang Center is currently under construction in the center of the vineyard on the west end of the UCC campus.

The UCC Foundation has now raised $2,305,367 of its $2,500,000 fundraising goal.
