Main Course

Forest Grove celebrates the city’s food and wine with the return of Main Course, July 9. 

In the classic village tradition, Main Street - between Pacific Avenue and 21st Street - will be closed to host this yearly outdoor event. A wine tasting focusing on area producers and appetizers prepared by several area restaurants will start the celebration, followed by a four-course dinner paired with local wines. Gentle Rain will perform classic jazz. 

Head chefs at 1910 Main - An American Bistro will prepare the dinner, along with Grendel’s Restaurant, Pac Thai and Stecchino Bistro. As in the past, high-quality, local ingredients will star throughout the menu.

Wineries at this year’s event include: Abbey Creek, Apolloni, David Hill,Helvetia, Kramer, Montinore, Plum Hill, Provincial, Purple Cow, SakéOne, Tualatin Estate and Zimri.

Guests have a choice of tickets: $30 for wine tasting and appetizers (begins at 5:30 p.m.); or $75 for dinner, tasting and appetizers. Dinner is limited to 200 guests. The Main Course is a nonprofit event being coordinated through The Forest Grove Foundation. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to youth arts through the Forest Grove Public Arts Commission.
