Home Stretch

Time to do some stretches. Destination Races’ Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon is around the bend.

Scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 5, the 13.1-mile race will start at Stoller Vineyards in Dundee, wind through the valley and finish in Carlton, where a wine and music celebration will be held from 9 a.m. to noon. The festival is co-sponsored by Ken Wright Cellars and the Willamette Valley Wineries Association.

The day before the event, runners can pick up their packets at Allison Inn & Spa in Newberg. The expo will be open to the public and will feature booths, informational seminars, and a wine and food tasting hosted by the Chehalem Mountain Winegrowers.
