News Brief: Vintage Oregon

The Oregon Wine Board has announced April 28 as the date for its all-Oregon tasting event. The second annual gathering is expected to showcase as many as 100 wineries representing all regions of the state and will begin Oregon Wine Month in May.

Renamed “Vintage Oregon,” the tasting will be held at the Left Bank Annex in Northeast Portland and will feature locally sourced food prepared by Oregon restaurants, including several from the Superior Cellar Award program. Superior Cellars is a partnership between Oregon Wine Press and OWB to recognize restaurants offering outstanding selections of Oregon wines on their menus.

During Oregon Wine Month, wine retailers and restaurants throughout the state will be celebrating and promoting Oregon’s wine industry. The month culminates with the annual winery open houses on Memorial Day Weekend when most wineries in the state are open for public tastings.
