Soft Strings in the Vineyard Series

Durant Vineyards at Red Ridge Farms is excited to host an early evening summer live music series on their tasting room patio from 4-7 p.m. on select Fridays in June, July and August. Guests are invited to enjoy the music, incredible views of the vineyards and Mount Hood along with a selection of Durant Vineyards family estate wine. Celebrate your love of wine and music in this fun, after-hour’s event at the Durant Vineyards tasting room! Admission is free and open to the public. Picnic platters are also available for purchase.  PERFORMANCE INFO: Sharon Franklin: Although Sharon began studying flute at age 8, played orchestral music at UCLA, and added folk and jazz flute to her repertoire in the 60s and 70s, it wasn't until ten years ago that she started playing alto flute with a harpist friend. Sharon currently plays in a flute quartet, flute choir, and community orchestra. The alto's low, soothing tones struck her like a gravitational force—deep, rich, and resonant. Red Ridge has the perfect acoustics to listen to an alto flute up close. During her performance she will feature music by composer, producer, and recording artist Michael Hoppé.
