Penner-Ash Wine Cellars Hosts Landmark Event “Tu Shea”

Join Penner-Ash Wine Cellars for a truly unique tasting of wines sourced from Shea Vineyard. On Saturday, April 6th nine producers will bring their Shea Vineyard Pinot noir to Penner-Ash, providing an unparalleled opportunity to taste the influence of multiple winemakers on fruit from one of Oregon's most famous vineyards.

The celebration will commence with a taste of Shea Wine Cellars 2009 Chardonnay. Guests will enjoy tastes of each of the nine winemakers current Shea Vineyard designated Pinot noir. The winemakers themselves will be pouring the wine—inviting guests to enter a dialogue about each winemaker’s particular rendition of Shea Vineyard’s fruit.

Along with the wine, guests will be tempted by appetizers from Recipe restaurant in Newberg—known for Pacific Northwest cuisine that pairs harmoniously with wine. There will be two tasting seminars, each with four producers showing library Shea Pinots along with Dick Shea providing a historical perspective on the vineyard (seminars are SOLD OUT).

Shea Vineyard has produced incredibly sought after fruit since the first vines were planted in 1989. Shea supplies fruit to some of Oregon and California’s finest wineries. Tu Shea is the first event of its kind—offering wine enthusiasts an unprecedented opportunity to try nine unique renditions of Pinot noir made with fruit from one revered vineyard.
