Olive Oil Pastry Class featuring guest pastry chef Michelle Vernier from Paley's Place

We are delighted to have an official pâtissiére (pastry chef) here to educate us on using olive oil in baking. Join us in our beautiful Oregon Olive Mill for a cooking demonstration and opportunity to learn and enjoy the delicious results!

This class will cover several techniques for incorporating olive oil into everyday baking and pastry preparations; from baking bread to tart dough, batters and chocolate…olive oil is an indispensable ingredient for the artisan baker. (Class will also include olive oils tastings and a glass of Durant Vineyard’s wine.)

Menu
Simple salt and pepper focaccia, Tuscan olive oil
Spring vegetable and goat cheese tart, lemon olive oil crust, fresh herb salad
Koroneiki olive oil cake, honey plumped apricots, greek yogurt, roasted walnuts
Arbequina olive oil gelato, roasted rhubarb, olive oil tuile
Blood orange olive oil truffles
