Joe McMurrian is a Delta Blues/Roots songwriter and guitarist based in Portland Oregon. His solo performances blend blues and roots into a powerful modern gumbo that can switch from gut wrenching hard driving deep blues to intricate acoustic ballads. Joe has performed with the likes of Johnny Winter, Derek Trucks, Hot Tuna, John Mayhall, Charlie Musslewhite, Robyn Trower, Louisiana Red, Honey Boy Edwards, Rory Block, Paul Geramia and Keb Mo to name a few. When he's not playing solo, Joe plays with the power quartet, Woodbrain.
