Class: Basic Wine Enjoyment

This class is about kicking up your enjoyment of wine using basic, easy to understand & implementable tools. We won't dig into grape varietals, tasting terminology & regions. Instead, the focus is on practices that bring out the fullness of what's in the bottle & your glass. We'll explore: 1. How to taste (from a winemaker's point of view) without requiring a technical understanding. 2. How air changes your experience of a wine. 3. The difference glassware makes. 4. TBD based on the interests and preferences of the group gathered. Options include an introduction to wine & food pairing, what a ‘good’ wine should cost, demystifying sulfites, and why ‘organic wine’ doesn’t taste as good as it should based on its name. $25 per person. Pre-payment required. 16 seats in total. To reserve a space please e-mail info@pairingsportland.com.
