A soirée and conversation about “What’s Good about Food & Wine in Oregon” with John Gorham (Toro Bravo) and Liz Crain (Food Lover’s Guide to Portland).

Newberg’s Northwest Fresh Seafood Company is hosting an epicurean soirée March 7, 2015, featuring Oregon wines, Pacific Northwest seafood, live music and special guests: Portland restaurateur and authors John Gorham of Toro Bravo, Tasty n Sons and Tasty n Alder and Liz Crain of the Food Lover’s Guide to Portland. Attendees are welcome to attend one or all of the following festivities, ticket information is below.

The afternoon will start with a meet and greet with the authors, wine tastings, oyster education and oyster shucking competition. At 3:15 pm Gorham and Crain will begin a conversation/Q&A about “What’s good about food and wine in Oregon, food culture and what makes our region distinctly different and worth celebrating.” For those who wish to purchase Gorham’s memoir and 95 restaurant recipes Toro Bravo: Stories, Recipes, No Bull and Crain’s Food Lover’s Guide to Portland both authors will be signing their books after the discussion at 4:30 pm.

The festivities continue through the evening with an octopus and seafood boil from the NW Fresh Seafood chefs followed by live music from the Kent Smith Band, an Americana trio hailing from Portland.
