SavorNW

A new wine contest is in town. Well, actually, it’s at the coast. Called SavorNW Wine Awards, the competition founded by Gary Hayes is designed to showcase Northwest wines and promote awareness of Pacific Northwest wine regions.

The professional single-blind judging of wines is a part of the Savor Cannon Beach Wine & Culinary Festival, March 8–11. Both the contest and event are produced by Pelican Productions, a media and marketing company based in Seaside.

The SavorNW Wine Awards are open to all types of wines made commercially in the Northwest that are available for retail sale or are scheduled for release during 2012. Winners will be announced prior to the festival.

Entry information for wineries can be found at www.savornw.com.
