Savor Cannon Beach

Cannon Beach will host wine tastings, wine dinners and a wine walk at the “Savor Cannon Beach Wine & Culinary Festival,” March 12–14.

Participants in Saturday’s wine walk can purchase a glass and taste wine at more than a dozen Cannon Beach businesses. All proceeds from the wine tour benefit the Cannon Beach Children’s Center.

This year, several additional events have been added to the celebration. A Friday night wine tasting will emphasize Oregon Pinot Noirs. Brian Doyle, author of “The Grail” will read and sign books at the event from 5–7 p.m. at Ocean Lodge. The event also features a silent auction including wine, food and travel related packages gathered by the Cannon Beach Chamber of Commerce. Cannon Beach restaurants and art galleries are joining the fun with special wine dinners and shows connected to “Savor Cannon Beach.” Art shows at White Bird Gallery, for example, will feature paintings on wine boxes by Steve McLeod and sculptor Michael Tieman will unveil his latest work, “The Wine Thief.” Bronze Coast Gallery will also showcase local artists. Steve Roberts, author of “Wine Trails” of Oregon will sign books at Cannon Beach Book Company Saturday at 1 p.m.
