The Southern Oregon Winery Association has elected several new board members for 2010. The new members include: President, Chris Martin of Troon Vineyard; Cal Schmidt of Schmidt Winery; Jolee Wallace of Del Rio Vineyard and Winery; Kim Kinderman, Agate Ridge Winery. They will join current board members Ruth Garvin, Cliff Creek Cellars - Vice President; Mark Wisnovsky, Valley View Winery - Secretary; Lelo Kerivan, Bridgeview Vineyards - Treasurer. Each member is elected for a two-year term.

"It is truly an exciting time to be part of the Southern Oregon wine industry. Our member wineries have continued to increase and they are receiving lots of awards and accolades." said Martin.  "I am honored to have the opportunity to head this organization.  I see nothing but continued growth and prosperity."

The Southern Oregon Winery Association was formed in 1990. The organization promotes wineries and wines from the region including the American Viticulture Areas (AVA) of the Applegate Valley, Rogue Valley, and Umpqua Valley. Association members are involved in the World of Wine event, Southern Oregon Wine Road Show, brochure, wine bottle bags and many other promotional aspects.
